Estonian Foreign Minister Praises Georgia’s NATO Aspirations
Georgia’s NATO ambitions are an obvious thing to everyone strolling the streets of Tbilisi. As the NATO Days are currently held in the capital, blue flags welcome tourists and locals alike. The government, which also makes no secret of their endeavor to find allies to support their bid for NATO membership, praised new comments by Estonian Foreign Minister Sven Mikser.
Asked by InterPressNews, he believes in NATO’s open door policy and welcomed the many reforms Georgia implemented recently.
"We have a close cooperation with Georgia and I hope that the highest level meeting will be held between Georgia and NATO at the July summit. I hope that NATO will properly appreciate the real progress made by Georgia. This will encourage it to even higher standards," Sven Mickxmer noted.
