Number of GD Political Council Members Reduced

The ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party political council will consist from 15 members, instead of previous 21.

The decision was made on May 1, at the meeting of the council, attended by the billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, founder of the party and former Prime Minister.

The party’s political council has new composition and consists of representatives of legislative and executive government. The list is composed of:

1. Bidzina Ivanishvili, founder of the party
2. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister Georgia
3. Irakli Kobakhidze, Speaker of the Parliament
4. First Vice Speaker Tamar Chugoshvili
5. Vice Speaker, Giorgi Volsky
6. Deputy Speaker, Ilia Nakashidze
7. Parliamentary majority leader Archil Talakvadze,
8. Chair of Georgian Dream faction, Mamuka Mdinaradze
9. Dimitri Samkharadze, MP
10. Bidzina Gegidze, MP
11. Irakli Tripolsky, MP
12. Maia Tskitishvili, Infrastructure Minister
13. Minister of Refugees Sozar Subari
14. Davit Saganelidze, Chair of the state-led Partnership Fund
15. Kakha Kaladze, Tbilisi Mayor
