Mike Pence Hosts Georgian PM Kvirikashvili
The United States Vice-President, Mike Pence, hosted Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili in his residence on May 23.
The officials discussed all items on the agenda of relations between the two countries in fine detail.
According to the Press Office of the Georgian PM, it was once again clearly affirmed at the meeting that the US stands by Georgia in addressing all the challenges and in embracing the opportunities and achievements.
Mike Pence stated he highly values the leadership of Giorgi Kvirikashvili in the process of western integration and reforms implemented in Georgia, and confirmed the readiness of the US to support steps towards Georgia's integration into NATO, strengthening the defense and security potential of the country, and deepening trade and economic relations.
The special role of Georgia in the US regional policy was stressed during the meeting.
Following the meeting, the US Vice-President took to twitter to congratulate Georgia on its 100th anniversary from the establishment of the first democratic state.
