Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili appeared at the demonstration in front of the Parliament on the very first day, after which the Prime Minister announced concrete steps to be taken by the authorities to answer the public’s questions.

In addition, on June 1, the Head of Government, together with the Interior Minister and the Head of the Government’s Administration, held a meeting with Public Defender Nino Lomjaria who delivered additional information about concerns related to the murder case of two youngsters.

After today’s session of the Political Council, the Prime Minister discussed in detail the processes launched by the government.

At this stage, it is necessary to make maximal use of available institutional formats and to ensure their transparency.

In addition, the Prime Minister is ready to discuss issues pertaining to the ongoing investigation—without the participation of politically engaged persons, of course—and to personally meet the parents of both youngsters murdered on Khorava Street.  Depending on the parents’ wishes, this meeting can be held with the Public Defender present.
