Georgian Foreign Minister Hosts Delegation from Slovakia

Georgia’s Vice-Premier and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mikheil Janelidze, has hosted a delegation from Slovakia at the Information Center on NATO and the EU in Tbilisi.

The delegation was comprised of outstanding representatives of various sectors who arrived in Georgia within the framework of the project “Let's get to know each other better.”

The visit was organized by Georgia’s Honorary Consul to the Slovak Republic, Nodar Giorgadze.

While hosting the Slovak guests, Janelidze spoke about the project, saying it envisages a number of important activities designed to highlight Georgia’s history, traditions, cultural heritage and tourism potential.

Janelidze said that the Slovak President’s visit to Georgia within the framework of celebrating the centenary of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia was yet further proof of the Slovak government’s firm political support.

“I hope the visit of the Slovak delegation will give a fresh impetus to the development of a series of new projects in Georgia,” Mikheil Janelidze said.

He added that Slovakia supports Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its European and Euro-Atlantic integration path.
