Presentation of the Book "Ozurgeti Theater 150"

On July 5, at 2:30 pm, the Ozurgeti Folklore Palace will host the presentation of the book "Ozurgeti Theater 150" by Lasha Chkhartishvili, Doctor of Art and Doctor of Art Study.

"Ozurgeti Theater 150" is the first extensive monograph on Ozurgeti Theater, based on many thus far unknown and unreleased historical facts, archival documents, and photos. The editorial group’s research discovered information in various archives, museums and storage sites, historical sources and memories of the Ozurgeti Theater, which are contained in this book. At the same time, the book reflects today's Ozurgeti Theater. It reflects all the important events of the Ozurgeti Theater in recent years, premiers, tours abroad, participation in festivals and international theater tours.

The creator of the concept is Vasil Chigogidze, the author of the book is theater student Lasha Chkhartishvili. Zaza Jincharadze, Marina Vasadze, Zaira Tottabidze and Lia Kiladze also worked on the volume.

The book "Ozurgeti Theater 150" was prepared by the modern Georgian Theater Research Center with financial support from the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Georgia and the Ozurgeti Municipality.
