Occupied Abkhazia's Claim of Official Jordan Delegation Visit False

Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) says the spreading of information by the Georgia’s Russian-occupied Abkhazia (Sokhumi) regarding the visit of the Jordan Official Delegation is untrue.

Tbilisi explains that the visit was private, not official, and it does not fall in line with the official position of Jordan.

“We have an active and dynamic agenda for cooperation with Jordan… The Jordanian side has publicly stated its support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity in both bilateral and multilateral formats. Among them the support was clearly observed by the Speaker of the Senate and House of Representatives of Jordan during the meeting with the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia within the visit to Jordan this year," the statement of the Georgian MFA reads.

Occupied Sokhumi released information yesterday that the so-called President Raul Khajimba received the “official delegation of Jordan.”
