International Students to Perform in Batumi
On July 29-31, 40 students from 13 countries will visit Batumi. German, Italian, Polish, Czech, Dutch, Estonian, Slovak, Slovak, Serbian, Ukrainian, Hungarian and Russian young pupils will perform in the Batumi Boulevard on July 29. Their visit is within the framework of the AEGEE-Tbilisi Summer School Project ‘Drop of Wine from Mountain to Sea’.
The students have been visiting different regions of Georgia in the past two weeks, attending master classes of Adjarian dancing and engaging in various activities.
On July 29, apart for Adjarian dancing, ‘City Game’ will be held in Batumi, involving the viewing of different characters in the city within the pre-selected program and fulfilling tasks such as writing poems and performing. On July 31, the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University will hold a meeting, which will be attended by the University students.
The project is of a cultural-cognitive character and the main goal is to get acquainted with Georgia, popularize Georgian culture and raise awareness among European students. AEGEE-Tbilisi Summer has been operating the summer school project since 2008. Each summer, around 40 young students from different European countries visit Georgia, including Batumi.
