Georgian PM: Aviation Enterprise is of High Importance

An aviation enterprise will open in the vicinity of Tbilisi International Airport.

The project is valued at $85 million and expected to be opened by 2017. The enterprise will employ around 300 people.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili emphasised the importance of the enterprise today, calling it significant.

“For the first time in Georgia, an aviation enterprise of international importance is being built here. The enterprise will produce aircraft parts from high-tech materials, which will be used by aviation giants such as Boeing, Bombardier, Sukhoi and Airbus. The production will, of course, be fully exported,” the Prime Minister stated.

The project according to Garibashvili, is being carried out jointly by the Partnership Fund and an Israeli company, Elbit Systems.
