Georgian PM Meets French Ambassador
Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze had a meeting with the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Republic of France to Georgia, Pascal Meunier, who conveyed the official congratulations from the Prime Minister of France to Bakhtadze.
High-level political relations between the two countries and need to advance the economic ties between Georgia and France were the top issues discussed by the officials.
Pascal Meunier praised the reforms planned by the Government of Georgia, including those related to the inclusive economic growth and development of human capital in the country.
The Georgian PM noted that he welcomes and will always support French investments to the country.
Recent developments within Georgia’s Russian-occupied regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia were also discussed by the parties. .
The Ambassador positively assessed Official Tbilisi's peace-keeping initiative, 'Step Towards a Better Future,' which will facilitate contact between the war-torn people and restore trust.
The sides also spoke about cooperation in the education sector and noted that the establishment of a French-Georgian University will help intensify interaction as per the agreement recently concluded by and between the two countries.
