Katie Melua In Tbilisi

The world-famous British singer of Georgian origin, Katie Melua, will give a free concert in Tbilisi on September 16, 2018

The performance of the famous singer will be held within the framework of the Tbilisi International Theater Festival, which will be held in the Georgian capital from September 14 to 30 and will bring together theatrical companies from around the world.

The concert starts at 21:00 in Europe Square; the organizer of the performance is Tbilisi City Hall with the support of the Artists Union CONCEPTART and Stamba Hotel.

Melua, a native of Georgia, moved to Northern Ireland at the age of eight, and at age 14 - to England. Her debut took place in 2003, when her first album Call Off the Search was released. It shot to Number One in the UK charts and sold 1.2 million copies in the first five months.

Today, Melua is a famous singer not only in Great Britain and Georgia, but also in many other countries. All over the world, more than 11 million discs have been sold, and more than a million spectators have visited her concerts. The style in which she sings is a mixture of blues and jazz. In 2008, Melua hit the top ten wealthiest British musicians before the age of thirty according to the Sunday Times.
