Georgian Designer David Koma and London Fashion Week
David Komakhidze (David Koma) is a Georgian fashion designer based out of London. During the recent London Fashion Week held from September 14 - 18, Koma’s new collection was featured. His new collection is a cohesive blend of femininity and edge, fit with leather, metal accents, long gloves, and striking knee-high boots: Punk meets classic chic.
The designer’s love and study of design and fashion began when he studied fine arts in St. Petersburg, Russia. Koma later moved to London to study at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design. Upon his graduation in 2009, Koma started his own fashion label “David Koma” in London. His designs are known for body contouring silhouettes based off the feminine shape. Since his graduation and beginning of his fashion line, Koma has been a resident designer featured in London’s Fashion Week.
Koma has made a major name for himself in fashion. His designs have been worn by the likes of Gal Gadot, Rihhana, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Jessica Alba, Megan Fox, Gwyneth Paltrow, Emily Blunt, Cameron Diaz, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Kerry Washington and countless other celebrities. With his strength in fashion design, he is further putting Georgia on the fashion world map.
