Occupants Detain Another Georgian Citizen
Another Georgian citizen, 50, was detained by so called border guards at the occupation line near Gori Municipality village Kirbali on October 7.
Akaki Dotiashvili was detained on charges of “illegally crossing the border.”
The family of the man says he is a herdsman and was on Georgian territory when he was abducted.
“He was with his son, herding the cows, when the occupants arrested him. We earn a living on herding and even this has become impossible here,” the sister of the man, Tsiala Dotiashvili, told reporters.
According to her, the man has diabetes and cannot stay long without the relevant medicines. The family has called on the government for help.
In late September, occupants from the breakaway region of South Ossetia detained Maia Otinashvili, a mother of three underage children, on the same charges. She is still in pre-trial detention.
