Mogherini Recognizes Georgia's Place as Honorable Guest in EU
Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy recognized Georgia's place as an honorable guest in the European Union as it holds the title of Guest of Honor at this year's Frankfurt Book Fair.
Mogherini made the statement at the opening ceremony of the Book Fair on October 9.
She added that she was glad and honored to be present at an event where human rights were nurtured, portrayed and protected.
Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze also delivered a speech during the opening ceremony of 70th Frankfurt Book Fair, stating that it is an honor for Georgia to be the Guest of Honor at the book fair with a history of 500 years.
Georgian Pavilion was also opened on Tuesday evening, showcasing 33 letters of the Georgian alphabet, introducing various sides of the country’s literature, art and culture.
