The Budget and Finance Committee Approved the Draft State Budget 2019
The Budget and Finance Committee held a conclusive hearing on the Draft State Budget 2019.
The budget income forecast was set as 12 611.6 ml GEL; the assignments in the expenditure part were defined as 12 729.7 ml GEL.
As the Chairman of the Committee, Irakli Kovzanadze, stated, according to the Draft, economic growth forecast for 2019 was 4.5%; GDP deflator is planned within 3.5%, nominal GDP value will constitute 45.1 bl. GEL, while inflation will be 3.0% within the target inflation scopes by National Bank.
Kovzanadze says there are significant funds allocated in the budget to the healthcare and social directions, also for implementation of infrastructural projects and stimulation of small and medium businesses, which in turn contribute to the creation of new jobs.
"According to the presented parameters, the Budget and Finance Committee approves the Draft State Budget 2019; the Committee has some remarks, suggestions, and recommendations that will be sent to the government”, Irakli Kovzanadze stated.
