Removal of Political Posters
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze expressed outrage at the fact that the election posters of candidates for the presidency of Georgia had beenpasted in the wrong places.
The election of the next President of Georgia will be held on October 28. 25 candidates will take part in the running.
"According to the law, specific places have been allocated where election campaign posters cannot be glued ... election posters are pasted on historical monuments, pasted in the subway, pasted in places that create a very uncomfortable and ugly image," said Kaladze.
The Mayor of Tbilisi showed photos confirming his words, and instructed the head of the Tbilservice Group Company, Levan Dzhgarkava, to immediately start cleaning the specified facilities.
“We love our city! Do we have a heart for our city? We should not act only based on our party interests! Therefore, I want to give the task to the head of Tbilservice Group: Mr. Levan, I want you to start today to clean and wash these specific places. All that is happening is totally unacceptable," said Kaladze.
