Putin Promises Further Assistance to Tskhinvali Marionette Regime

President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, has congratulated the leader of so-called South Ossetia’s (Tskhinvali Region) marionette regime, Leonid Tibilov, on ‘Republic Day’.

Putin expressed his eagerness to further provide Tskhinvali with social, economic and security assistance, the Kremlin press-service has stated.

On September 20th the Tskhinvali separatist regime celebrated a so-called ‘Republic day’.

This region is one of the two regions of Georgia that have been occupied by Russia since 1993.

This has been widely condemned by the international community, with Russia being urged many times to act in accordance with International Law and to recognise Georgian territorial integrity.
