Allegations of Aggression at Polls in Marneuli
Georgia held presidential elections this Sunday. October 28. As part of the elections, international monitoring missions from around the world distributed themselves nationwide to observe the polls.
One observer, from the observation mission of the Parliament of Poland, the Sejm. MP Małgorzata Gosiewska is reporting that members of her monitoring mission were exposed to aggression in villages in the Marneuli municipality.
Gosiewska told reporters that she loves Georgia and did not expect such behavior. She claims that groups of men gathered near the polling stations were acting aggressive towards her and other observers, but the election commission members did not react.
“They also threatened us with gestures. I will post the respective photo on my page. I suspect that these persons have links with criminals," said Gosiewska.
