Infamous German Doorman to Exhibit Photography in Khidi
Infamous German doorman and photographer, Sven Marquardt, will hold an artist talk and Q&A session in Tbilisi techno club Khidi November 3.
Sven is a regular face on the door of Berghain, Berlin’s most notorious techno club. His strict selection process is known around the world, as many party-goers queue for hours only to be turned away by him.
Known for his striking tattoos and piercings, he has also been a keen photographer for over two decades. More recently, he has taken a more backseat at Berghain to pursue his art.
Sven captures his photos and portraits on an analogue camera. His heavy contrasts and symbolism portray a strong message.
The exhibition will run this weekend as part of the celebration of a third dancefloor opening at Khidi. International artists such as Nathan Fake, Purient, and Beka Diamond will also entertain guests. Pre-registration online is necessary to attend the Q&A session with Sven Marquardt, 7pm November 3.
