Georgian Wine Festival Comes to London

Londoners will have the chance to attend a Qveri Wine Festival for the first time in their city on November 8.

Wines made using the ancient Georgian traditional Qvevri technique are not common in England. UK importers of Georgian wine have organized the festival to introduce such wines to the UK market.

Sarah Abbott MW, a promoter and expert of Georgian wine, will speak about Georgian wine and the Qvevri winemaking method. “Georgian wine is something very new for Britain but the interest towards it is growing steadily,” she said.

Guests will have the opportunity to try some of the best English and Georgian Qvevri white, red, and orange wines accompanied with Georgian canapes. There will also be Georgian dance performances.

Georgian wine is becoming more and more popular in the UK, with many British importers and wine traders eager to sell it to the UK market. The event is to take place from 6pm - 8.30pm, November 8 at the London Canal Museum, 12-13 New Wharf Road, London.
