Georgian President Appoints 8 New Ambassadors

President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili, has appointed new ambassadors to eight countries: Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovenia and the People's Republic of China.

The list of the new ambassadors is as follows:

  1. Tamuna Liluashvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Bulgaria from November 20, 2018
  2. Giorgi Sharvashadze, Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands from December 1, 2018.
  3. Vakhtang Jaoshvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Saudi Arabia and representative of Georgia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) from November 5, 2018;
  4. Zaal Gogsadze, Ambassador of Georgia to Hungary from November 1, 2018.
  5. Mariam Rakviashvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Czech Republic from November 5, 2018.
  6. Konstantine Surguladze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Italy and permanent representative of Georgia to UN international organizations (FAO, IFAD, WFP) from December 1, 2018.
  7. Irakli Koplatadze will be appointed as the Ambassador of Georgia to Slovenia from November 15, 2018;
  8. Archil Kalandia, Ambassador of Georgia to the People's Republic of China from November 5, 2018.

Margvelashvili had a face-to-face meeting with the new ambassadors and wished them success in their future activities.
