Parliament Speaker Says UNM Plans Destabilization

Georgian Parliament Speaker, Irakli Kobakhidze claims the leaders of the United National Movement (UNM) speak directly that they are planning a revolutionary scenario and a destabilization in the country.

“Leaders of the National Movement speak directly that they have planned a revolutionary scenario, but they had similar scenarios in 2016 and other time but, naturally, they will fail to achieve the revolution and destabilization in Georgia,” he said.

Tbilisi Mayor, Kakha Kaladze also made a statement regarding the issue. According to him, “the UNM scenario is not about the elections but the revolution.”

“We, as the responsible political force, will not let the UNM stress our society by means of propaganda based on lies and blaming everything on us, the ruling team,” he said.

The mayor said the “government is well informed about the recent developments and is ready to react to all kinds of provocative “actions.”
