Opposition Party Girchi Moons Russia Occupants at Atotsi Boundary Line

Representatives of the opposition political party Girchi protested the occupation of Georgian territories by Russia in the village of Atotsi, where a barbed wire fence was recently errected by Russian military forces.

At the line, party leader and former presidential candidate Zurab Japaridze was joined by several activists who, in union, pulled their pants to their ankles and bent down, pointing their bare bottoms towards occupied "South Ossetia." They claim it was a demonstration of protest of the occupation.

Japaridze initiaited the act. He said that expressing protest in such a way would attract the attention of international media and show Russia that, as an occupant, they have no place in Georgia.
