Henryck Hryniewski Hall Opens at National Library
November 5, a Hall of Polish Art and Literature, named after Polish painter Henryck Hryniewski, opened in the first building of the National Library.
Giorgi Kekelidze, the General Director of the National Library, opened the event. Many ministers from Georgia and Poland also attended including Irakli Kobakhadze, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Mikheil Batiashvili, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Shimon Shinkovski Wel Senk, the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, and Marek Kuchciński, the Chairman of the Lower House of the Parliament of Poland.
With the support of the Government of Poland and Embassy of Poland in Georgia, the unique wall paintings done by the artist himself were painstakingly restored and renovated. The hall will house literature about art as well as polish books from the National Library collections.
