Zurabishvili Comments on Her New Election Billboards

Georgian Dream (GD) backed candidate, Salome Zurabishvili, says the new election posters and banners, made for the runoff of October 28 presidential elections, are better than old ones.

She did not specifically comment on the banners which portrays Founder and Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhatdze and the Parliament Speaker, Irakli Kobakhidze, who is the Head of Zurabishvili’s election headquarters.

“You cannot see me? I think my picture is more beautiful than the first one and I think it is a bit awkward to say more, we will see the result of the new strategy," Zurabishvili said.

The new election banners which depict GD leaders were harshly criticized by the opposition, saying this might be a violation of law, if the GD paid for new posters.

The State Audit Office is already studying the case.
