PM Calls on Citizens to Be Active

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze, has called on the citizens to be active in the run-off of the presidential elections, underway today.

The PM made the statement after casting his vote, saying he had voted in favor of Georgia’s peaceful development and European choice.

“I would like to ask our citizens to go to the polls, make their choice and vote for Georgia's development and a better future for us and our children,” he added.

Today, Georgian citizens have to make a choice between two candidates: ruling Georgian Dream-backed Salome Zourabishvili and the candidate of the United Opposition, Grigol Vashadze.

There are 3,703 polling stations throughout the country.
