Presidential Candidates Cast Their Votes
Ruling Georgian Dream-backed presidential candidate Salome Zurabishvili and the candidate of the United Opposition, Grigol Vashadze have already voted in the run-off underway on November 28.
Zurabishvili arrived at the polling station together with her children.
“I voted for the most European candidate. My choice is a peaceful, united, calm and smiling Georgia,” she told journalists.
Grigol Vashadze voted at #22 Polling Station in Kutaisi in the Imereti region. He arrived at the polling station together with his wife.
“I hope that our citizens, who have been protecting democracy in this country since 1990, will make the right choice to preserve the statehood based on three posts – equality, justice, and development,” Vashadze stated.
Unlike the first round of elections, there is no 50% barrier in the second round. The candidate who receives more votes in the second round will become President of Georgia.
