10th Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum Held in Tbilisi
The Georgian Parliament hosted the 10th Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum 10 - 12 December in Tbilisi.
Entitled ‘leading the way towards a democratic European future’, the three-day event focused on how to further democratic, sustainable development and support the Europea Union’s commitment to the Eastern Partnership policy initiative.
Civil society representatives from across the region attended the event, including Foreign Ministers from Armenia, Georgia, Belarus and Lithuania, as well as Lawrence Meredith, the European Commission Director for the Eastern Neighbourhood.
The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum has had a huge reach across the region and transformed the Eastern Partnership with a unique model of civil society participation governance.
Approximately 800 organizations are under the umbrella of the Eastern Partnership and the European Union. The Forum is looking to increase its membership base further, having adopted a major decision-making reform earlier this year.
