Public Transport in Tbilisi to Be Free on New Year’s Eve
Tbilisi City Hall has announced that public transport on New Year’s Eve will be free-of-charge to make it easier for people attending celebrations to get home.
The metro, buses, and cable cars will run later than usual until 4am at Rike Park. They will be free from 11am on December 31 until 4am on January 1. The City Hall has announced that buses will run every 30 minutes.
New Year’s Celebrations will take place throughout the city. Popular artists and a daily March of the Nutcracker will perform at the main Christmas tree. In Mtasminda Park, circus and theater performances will be held. Fabrika will offer a two-day event, seeing in the New Year with a jazz performance by Rector Rezo Kiknadze and his band.
