President Meets Georgian Diaspora in Brussels
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who is on the first official visit to Brussels, met Georgian Diaspora and students on January 21.
During the meeting with the diaspora, all problematic issues that Georgians have there were discussed.
The president noted that stated that the Georgian diaspora should have a representative in the Georgian parliament, which will increase the involvement of Georgians living abroad in the country’s internal issues.
Zurabishvili also met the Georgian students studying in Belgium. The meeting was held in a question-and-answer manner and the students introduced their opinions on various issues regarding Georgia.
The President will meet with the NATO Secretary General and the North Atlantic Council, also with the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani. Meetings on foreign issues will be held with the European Union High Representative, Federica Mogherini and the European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Issues, Dimitris Avramopoulos.
