Criminal Police Chief Appointed Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs

Criminal Police Chief Vladimir Bortsvadze has been appointed Deputy Minister of Interior in Georgia.

Bortsvadze began his career in law in 2006, when he worked as an intern in the prosecutor’s office in the district of Mtskheta. He then worked in various positions in the prosecutor’s office notably as an investigator in important anti-corruption cases from 2010 - 2012. In April 2018, he was appointed the director of the central criminal police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

He was appointed Deputy Minister of Interior by Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze who has already signed the relevant order. The position was previously vacant.
