German Ambassador Speaking About Regional Conflicts in Georgia
On February 7 the Heinrich Boell Foundation hosted the German ambassador, H. E. Hubert Knirsch, for a public lecture about Germany and its perspective on the regional conflicts in Georgia. The event is part of a series of open lectures on different political and social topics, hosted by the Heinrich-Boell Foundation.The lectures are attended by students, civil society workers and other guests.
The German ambassador pointed out that the German politics regarding the territorial conflicts in Georgia are fully embedded in the European Politics. Germany is supporting Georgia in its non-recognition policy of the de-facto states. He underlined the importance of keeping dialogue to the civil society also on the other side of the administrative boundary line. Germany and the EU wants to be supportive in this kind of processes.
