Georgian MFA to Discuss Int'l Cooperation at Munich Security Conference
David Zalkaliani will accompany Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze to the 55th Munich Security Conference this weekend.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Zalkaliani will be there to meet with his German counterparts. He will participate in a session dedicated to NATO’s strategy in the Black Sea. He will be also participate in a meeting focusing on the enlargement of NATO that will be opened by the Georgian Prime minister and Wolfgang Yushinger, President of the Munich Security Conference.
“Over the course of the past five decades, the Munich Security Conference has developed into the world’s leading forum for the debate of international security policy. High on the agenda of the MSC 2019 are themes such as the European Union's self-assertion, transatlantic cooperation, as well as possible consequences of a renewed era of great power competition.” (MSC).
