Irakli Kobakhidze Meets with Prime Minister of Poland
Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Parliament, met Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of Poland, for the first time. They discussed the cooperation that exists between their two countries with the aim to reinforce it.
Poland is supposed to discuss the increase of financial aid towards Georgia with he European Union. Georgia-Poland Parliamentary Assembly is working to enable more bilateral cooperation and there will be an intensification of business partnerships between the two countries.
M. Morawiecki reaffirmed its support of Georgia’s full integrity and sovereignty on its territory. He also said that Poland entirely supports Georgia’s integration in the EU and NATO.
Already, last November, Irakli Kobakhidze was at the opening ceremony of the Polish Institute in Georgia, which is working for cooperation in education, culture and science. He affirmed the friendship between the two countries: “We value friendship from our Polish partners. We also cherish particular attitude towards Polish culture”.
