Polish Foreign Minister Praises Georgia
Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz says that Georgia is a leading country in the Eastern Partnership countries in terms of implementation of the Association Agreement.
The minister made the statement after meeting the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze.
Jacek Czaputowicz said the democratization process is underway in the country, distribution of power is taking place and the reforms are being implemented.
"Everything is on the right path, so now we think that the EU should respond positively to the legitimate aspirations of the Georgian people," he added.
The meeting between the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland was held within the frameworks of Irakli Kobakhidze's visit to Poland.
During the visit, Kobakhidze also met the PM of the country, Mateusz Morawiecki.
The parties discussed friendly and partnership relations and various aspects of cooperation.
The Speaker also had a meeting with the Marshal of Senate, Stanisław Karczewski and Marshal of Sejm, Marek Kuchciński to discuss bilateral relations and Parliamentary dimension of cooperation, as well as Georgia-Poland Parliamentary Assembly and its agenda.
