Georgian PM, German Ambassador Discuss Mutual Cooperation

Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze had a meeting with Germany’s Ambassador to Georgia Hubert Knirsch on Thursday.

The PM’s Press Office reports that the sides discussed different directions of the cooperation between the two countries, including Georgia's successful reforms.

Moreover, the educational reform and cooperation with the German side in this area, with emphasis on sharing experience in vocational education and the necessity of maximally aligning with the German model, were among the top issues.

The PM noted the educational reform and human capital development are among the government's top priorities. He said cooperation with Germany on properly choosing and adopting relevant learning programs is of crucial importance for the country.

In addition, agricultural cooperation and the importance of the projects implemented by the German development agency GIZ in this field were also underlined. The parties praised the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and Georgia's business environment. The upcoming Georgia-Germany Business Forum was also on the agenda of the PM and the German ambassador.
