Artist Leonid and Andro Semeiko were also involved in the production of the book. Andro Semeiko is the editor of it.
“The poems in the book have been selected to illustrate Vazha’s powerful, tragic, often Shakespearean force, as well as the development of the poet’s ideas and approach to nature, very relevant to ecological politics in the world today”- reads the statement of the organizers.
The presentation will take place at Asia House and will be opened by the Ambassador of Georgia to the UK, HE Excellency Tamar Beruchashvili. Golden Globe- and BAFTA-winning Welsh actress Dame Siân Phillips will read selected poems from the book at the evening.
The talks of Rayfield and Semeiko will be followed by the panel discussions.
Certain artworks used in ‘Unveiling Vazha-Pshavela’ will be on display for the audience.
In order to fully soak into the Georgian atmosphere, the guests will be served with Georgian wine Canapés.
