5006 Residence Permits Granted to Georgians in Greece in 2018
Ioseb Nanobashvili, Ambassador of Georgia to Greece, stated that 5006 residence permits were granted to the citizens of Georgia residing in Greece in 2018 alone, including 2286 primary residence permits.
In his address to the Georgian citizens, the ambassador says it is a priority direction of the Embassy of Georgia to promote the legalization of Georgian citizens’ residence in Greece.
He noted that the Embassy fruitfully cooperates with all relevant agencies of the Hellenic Republic, including the Ministry for Migration Policy and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Parliament of Greece, according to the Ambassador.
"Within the framework of this cooperation, we are intensively considering the facilitation of the issuance of residence permits to our compatriots, acceleration of the process of reviewing their applications, strengthening of the positive attitude towards our citizens by the government institutions of Greece,” he noted.
“The Embassy continues to support the legalization of Georgian citizens’ presence in Greece,” he added.
