PM Vows to Advance Medical Services in Georgia
Georgian Prime Minister promised that the shortcomings in the medical service will be improved and the government will maximally support the advancement of this field.
The PM made the statement at the opening ceremony of a new branch of New Hospitals clinic, on March 18.
“One of the most important tasks of Georgia's economic strategy is to transform the country into an economic center of the region and within this framework, transform it into a regional healthcare leader too,” he stated.
The PM noted that in order to achieve this goal, private sector investments in such projects and support of the state is crucial.
"New Hospitals has opened a new clinic today where new healthcare providers will be presented. The clinic has been taking care of the health of our citizens for years, and I am especially pleased to welcome any activities related to providing healthcare services to our citizens,” he added.
Bakhtadze said that healthcare is one of the priority fields of the government, adding this year more funds will be allocated for this area from the state budget.
“We understand that the challenges still remain but I promise everyone that we will definitely improve these flaws,” he added.
