Georgia Ranks 9th in Europe in Global Cybersecurity Index

Georgia ranks 9th in Europe and 14th in the world in the Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) 2018.

The index is compiled by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to measure the commitment to cybersecurity at a global level, as well as raise awareness. The 2018 survey ranked 178 countries.

Each county was ranked based on its legal measures, technical measures, organizational measures, capacity building, and cooperation.

The ITU Global Cybersecurity Agenda provides the framework and foundation for the index.

The UK, the US France, Lithuania and Estonia were the highest ranking countries on the index.
