Georgian Justice Minister Approves Extradition of Jack Shepherd

The Georgian Justice Minister Thea Tsulukiani has approved the British convict Jack Shepherd’s extradition order.

Jack Shepherd spent months hiding in Tbilisi after being charged guilty for manslaughter by gross negligence in the UK. He has been in jail in Tbilisi after handing himself to police in Georgia on January 23, 2019.

Shepherd is accused of killing Charlotte Brown, who died in a speedboat crash on the River Thames in London in December 2015. He denies the charges.

Although Shepherd at first resisted extradition, fearing for his safety should he return to the UK, Tbilisi City Court ruled in favor of his extradition earlier in March.
