Pop’s Black Eyed Peas to Play at Black Sea Arena in June

The American pop/hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas will open this year’s season at the Black Sea Arena in Guria, performing a concert on June 16, the venue announced in a Facebook post.

The Black Eyed Peas (originally known as simply Black Eyed Peas) are an American musical supergroup founded in Los Angeles in 1995. The group, whose current members include rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo, found success with the 2003 album Elephunk, the first record to feature the singer Fergie, who has since left the group.

Originally a hip-hop group, in recent years the Black Eyed Peas have changed their musical sound to pop and dance-pop music. Known for songs like “Where Is the Love?”, “I Gotta Feeling” and “Imma Be,” the group has sold an estimated 76 million records, making them one of the world’s best-selling musical artists of all time.

After an eight-year hiatus, the Black Eyed Peas released Masters of the Sun Vol. 1 in 2018, a return to more politically-minded hip-hop sound. The group is currently on a worldwide tour promoting the album.

Their June concert in Georgia will be held as part of the government’s Check In program, which aims to promote tourism in Georgia.

Tickets go on sale at 20:00 on April 30 on the websites TKT.ge and Eventer.ge.
