Ambassador Wilson to Depart from his Post

The U.S. Embassy in Georgia has published an announcement on Ambassador Ross Wilson’s departure. Ambassador Wilson has served as American Chargé d’Affaires in Tbilisi since early November. In mid May he will be leaving Georgia and returning to his own private life, as he will have completed his temporary assignment.

Ambassador Wilson said he was honored with an opportunity to represent the United States in Georgia and to work on further developing the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

After Ambassador Wilson’s departure, with the full confidence of Washington, Elizabeth Rood will take on the post of Chargé d’Affaires.
