President Zurabishvili Awards Military Titles

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili awarded eight representatives of the Georgian Defense Forces the military titles of Lieutenant General, Major General and General, according to the President’s press office.

The titles given out were as follows:

Brigade General Zaza Chkhaidze, Deputy Chief of the Defence Forces Brigade General Shalva Jabakhadze and Head of Military Police Department COL Abesalom Manjavidze became Major Generals; First Deputy Chief of the Defence Forces Colonel Nikoloz Janjghava, Head of the J3 Department, Colonel Irakli Dzneladze, Rector of Davit Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy Colonel Malkhaz Makaradze and Head of the East Command of Land Forces of the Defence Forces Colonel Alexandre Kiknadze became Brigade Generals; and Chief of the Georgian Defence Forces Vladimir Chachibaia became a Lieutenant General.
