Mamuka Bakhtadze Visits Kazakhstan
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze, is paying an official visit to Kazakhstan, within whichhe met with his Kazakh counterpart Askar Mamin in the capital city Nursultan.
At the meeting, the parties accentuated the high-level of political and economic ties between the two countries and spoke about the potential for trade circulation development. The Ministers also focused on the significance of the location of Georgia as a strategic transit gateway, and for activating collaboration in the transportation direction.
The Head of the Georgian Government stated that Georgia aspires to become the transport and logistic hub of the region through the improvement of infrastructure and launch of ports.
The delegation of Georgia praised the Kazakh investors for expressing interest in allocating impressive investments for carrying out major logistic projects in Georgia and developing the sphere of recycling.
Bakhtadze and Mamin agreed that the number of direct regular flights between Georgia and Kazakhstan should be raised.
Joint memorandums in the social, labor and agriculture spheres were also signed at the meeting.
