Two People Arrested after Physical Confrontation in Zugdidi

Law enforcers have detained one person in Zugdidi due to a confrontation at polling station No 87.

As reported, the confrontation started due to the election lists. An observer claims he was physically assaulted by a man who was later arrested by police.

Another man was detained earlier in Koki village, Samegrelo region.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs explains that the person was detained under Articles 166 and 173, which envisage resisting police and petty hooliganism.

A physical and verbal confrontation occurred in Koki at the polling station.

The United Opposition claims the reason was an incorrectly filed complaint by the chairperson of polling station No 97.
