Challenges of Tourism & Cultural Heritage in France and Georgia

On Friday, June 7th 2019, the French-Georgian University organizes a conference and a round table dedicated to the challenges of tourism, development and preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in France and Georgia.

The discussion will be preceded by a presentation of the new French-Georgian Master's Program in Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the French-Georgian University.

The event echoes many challenges of preserving Georgia's cultural heritage and the associated risks.

The speakers of the Conference are as follows:

  • Prof. Frédéric Lamantia, PhD in cultural geography and professor at Université Lumière Lyon 2, Coordinator of the French-Georgian Master's Program 'Tourism and Cultural Heritage' of Franco-Georgian University, Coordinator of the French-Ukrainian program in ‘Tourism, Leisure and Heritages’ at the University of Kharkiv
  • Nataliia Moroz, PhD candidate and teacher at Université Lumière Lyon 2, Coordinator of the French-Ukrainian program in ‘Tourism, Leisure and Heritages’ at the University of Kharkiv
  • Nikoloz 'Nika' Vacheishvili, former Director of the Agency for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of Georgia
  • Maia Sidamonidze, President of the Tourism Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Georgia
