Sulkhan Ghlonti Appointed as Deputy Minister of Finances and Economics of Adjara

Sulkhan Ghlonti has been appointed as a Deputy Minister of Finances and Economics of Adjara A.R. The minister, Jaba Phutkaradze, introduced his new deputy to the staff.

The new deputy minister will be will be in charge of the tourism policy-related issues.

For the last 3 years, Sulkhan Ghlonti served as Chairman of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara. 

Most importantly, during his management, Batumi,  the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, won the prestigious travel award of the ‘’Europe’s Leading Emerging Tourism Destination 2019’’.

Sulkhan Ghlonti has graduated from Ivane Javakishvili State University and Tbilisi Theological Academy.

He is a professional public relations manager.

In 2012-2016 he served as the deputy of the Supreme Council of Adjara.
