Patriarchate Addresses the Government

Patriarchate has recently released a statement concerning the events taking place in front of the government building. The Orthodox Church of Georgia asked the Government to act as peacefully as possible towards people and keep away from strictly violent forms while dealing with the issue.

“We address the population of Georgia, to show reasonableness and not follow emotional instincts. It is crucial to analyze the current situation, evaluate it correctly and make the right moves. We address the political parties, no matter their standing on political orientation, we address the media, diplomatic institutes, and the society – do everything in your power so that the situation does not take an uncontrollable form and the country does not run the risk of a great common danger,” states the release of Patriarchate.
