Prime Minister Claims No Rubber Bullets Were Used

The protests that began yesterday escalated during the night, as a consequence, two people lost an eye and dozens of others were injured and hospitalized.

While many local media sources claimed that police deployed tear gas, rubber bullets, and a water cannon during the clashes, Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze declared that no rubber bullets had been used. He accused the media creating a disinformation campaign and said that his political party would never used such weapons. He said that he was ready to fight for more democracy and against such disinformation.
